All Northgate School District employees must provide the criminal history information, child abuse clearance and Federal background check dated within 1 year of hire. Crossing Guard - Avalon Elementary
Our crossing guards provide a valuable service to the district. They work to keep our children safe as they are traveling to and from school. Specifically, they assist school children in crossing traffic intersections, stop traffic at crosswalks, instruct younger children in precautions to be taken when crossing streets and interacts with public firmly but courteously.
Food Service Positions

Northgate School District has partnered with ESS to manage our substitute program. A leader in K-12 staffing, ESS is now responsible for the hiring, training, and placement of both daily and long-term substitute teachers and custodians.
PA state clearances, Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training, and TB test results
Teachers: $100 / day (active PA Teaching Certificate required)
Custodians: $10.25 / hour (High School Diploma required)
