Statement on Community Partnerships
Northgate School District deeply values strong community partnerships that enrich student learning, foster civic engagement, and strengthen connections between our schools and the broader community. We recognize that meaningful collaboration creates powerful opportunities for students to grow as learners and leaders.
At the same time, the District must thoughtfully balance instructional priorities, staffing capacity, student supervision, transportation logistics, and fiscal resources when considering requests for student participation in outside events. Careful planning ensures that opportunities align with our mission while maintaining a safe and well-managed learning environment.
To support responsible planning and equitable consideration of all requests, we strongly recommend applications be submitted at least six (6) months in advance of the proposed event date. Early submission allows the District to evaluate alignment, allocate resources, and coordinate logistics effectively. Additional event details may be provided after initial submission as planning progresses; however, the advance timeline requirement remains in place to ensure proper review. We will review and consider applications up to three (3) months prior to the proposed date, but may be less likely to accommodate the request.
