The Northgate School District provides a challenging academic program that prepares students to value learning, think critically and creatively and embrace diverse viewpoints. With a focus on developing the whole child, the district provides experiences that encourage the development of empathy, integrity and resilience to prepare all students to meet with success.

With two elementary schools, and a secondary campus that houses our middle school and high school our District is able to maintain small class sizes and foster an authentic community environment.

Northgate School District is proud to offer a variety of unique academic programs to our students. We believe that learning opportunities designed for our students should be cross-curricular, culturally responsive, and project based.

The Northgate School District is seven and a half miles northwest of downtown Pittsburgh and encompasses a land area of 1.81 square miles of Boroughs of Avalon and Bellevue. The region is a diverse socio-economic area with a population just over 13,000.
