Finance & Operations
Northgate's Finance and Operations Department is responsible for the financial affairs of the District. Duties include accounts payable and receivable; purchasing; payroll; budgeting; cash flow management; coordination of federal, state, and local audits; financial reporting; revenue and expense reporting; insurance matters; school taxes; and tracking of state and federal subsidies.
Food Services and Buildings and Grounds also fall under the supervision of the Finance and Operations Department.
Budget Workshop Presentation is given annually to provide both the Board of School Directors and the public an overview of the District’s financial position, the budget process and other information impacting the District’s budget.
Final General Fund Budget is the form the District is required to submit to the PA Department of Education with the annual budget detail information.

Audited Financial Statements are the annual financial reports generated by an independent auditor who examines the financial records and business transactions of the District. These statements summarize financial results during the year and the overall financial position of the District.

Northgate School District Taxes are not collected at the District Offices. Please see the links below for the tax collector and municipality information.
Allegheny County Property Assessment Information: Information regarding the assessments of properties can be obtained by going to the Office of Property Assessment at the Allegheny County Website. The information available includes appeal and change of address forms, applications for exemption from real estate tax, explanations of property valuations, the real estate website, applications for abatement, details on Act 77-Senior Citizen Tax Relief, Act 42-Improvements, and the Homestead Application.

Per Capita Tax: A flat rate tax of $10 equally levied on all residents over the age of 18 within the taxing district. It is not dependent upon employment. Residents will receive the Per Capita Tax Notice via mail that includes a payment voucher that should be included with their check when they remit payment.
