Northgate High School provides every student with a structured learning environment where they are highly motivated to achieve academic excellence, to become organized effective communicators, original thinkers, and responsible and respectful citizens.
Our faculty and staff are committed to providing the best educational opportunities available and to delivering standards-based instruction, emphasizing critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving.
Northgate High School has many things to be proud of such as our outstanding faculty and staff members, our outstanding student body always keeps us focused on the reasons we entered the field of education. We encourage students to achieve their goals by offering them a variety of programs including Advanced Placement and College in the High School courses, Visual and Fine Art opportunities, School-Wide Positive Behavioral Support System, and many quality athletic programs. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in Career Tech Education at A.W. Beattie Career Technical Center.
With our dedicated and experienced staff, we are able to offer diverse and comprehensive learning opportunities for each student. We believe that all of our students can achieve at high levels with the appropriate supports.

The Northgate School District is proud to present its annual Student Art Exhibit at the John A. Hermann Jr. Art Museum, 318 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue. Students and their families are encouraged to join us at an Opening Reception on Friday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Avalon Elementary teacher Sherrill Farmer has been nominated for this month's Future Goals Most Valuable Teacher program, presented by the NHL, NHLPA and SAP! Please visit www.nhl.com/mvt to vote Mrs. Farmer throughout February.
On Jan. 18, students from three of the Northgate schools, Avalon and Bellevue elementary schools, and the middle school, traveled to Avonworth School District to take part in a program called the Wisdom Corridor Pittsburgh.
Dr. Jeff Evancho, Director of Partnerships and Equity, and Dr. Chris Caton, Director of Curriculum, were recently selected as winners of the Innovation in Education Award: Leader Category by the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference.
Northgate will be hosting an Instant Decision Day on Feb. 2 for any 12th grade student interested in four universities.
The Northgate School District was one of eight school districts in the country recognized by the AASA, The School Superintendents Association as a Fall Lighthouse Demonstration System.
