Our faculty and staff are committed to providing the best educational opportunities available and to delivering standards-based instruction, emphasizing critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving.
Northgate High School has many things to be proud of such as our outstanding faculty and staff members, our outstanding student body always keeps us focused on the reasons we entered the field of education. We encourage students to achieve their goals by offering them a variety of programs including Advanced Placement and College in the High School courses, Visual and Fine Art opportunities, School-Wide Positive Behavioral Support System, and many quality athletic programs. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in Career Tech Education at A.W. Beattie Career Technical Center.
With our dedicated and experienced staff, we are able to offer diverse and comprehensive learning opportunities for each student. We believe that all of our students can achieve at high levels with the appropriate supports.

State officials and local education leaders are at Northgate this morning to learn about the district’s College in High School program. In partnership with three local universities, Northgate offers high school students an opportunity to earn college credits through 21 courses.
Remake Learning: How a small public school district on the outskirts of Pittsburgh is leveraging partnerships —including a collaboration with neighboring Suburban General — to give students the flexibility to pursue anywhere, anytime learning.
The Northgate School District has selected Michael Wagstaff to serve as interim Middle School Principal for the remainder of the school year.
Three Odyssey of the Mind teams from Northgate have advanced to the state finals in April.
